What Type of Dog Are You????

By: Chuck Williams

Sometimes life, especially life in the church there are certain dogs that are a blessing.

The main one is the Labrador retriever. They are always happy and they have a servant's heart. They are full of encouragement and will "fetch" whatever you need to help the ministry.

The second one is a sheltie. These dogs are herders by nature. We need more shelties who will herd the lost into the Kingdom of Heaven.

The last dog is a saint bernard. These dogs are rescue dogs by nature. It's important that we encourage the Saint Bernards to go out and rescue the helpless, homeless, hurting and give them a cup of water in the name of Jesus.

Sometimes life, especially life in the church there are certain dogs that
You need to beware of.

The first one is the alley dogs. They wander around sticking their nose in all kinds of garbage, raising a stink. The worse it stinks, the better the alley dog seems to like it. Truth be told all of us have garbage in our lives, but the alley dog doesn't realize the garbage and stink in their own lives. Rather than focusing on another's garbage they should pray for others and offer to help with the cleaning.

The second one is the poodle dog. These dogs require a lot of attention. Life has to go their way or they will complain. They are easily offended and hide behind someone else as they voice their complaints. These dogs need to confess their focus of "self" and ask God to give them a servant's heart.

The third one is the junkyard dog. These dogs are very territorial and won't let anyone get near their property. There is no reasoning with a junkyard dog. Only a change in masters will change the heart of this canine. They need to submit to their heavenly Master.

The fourth one is the hound dog. The church is over populated with hound dogs- those too lazy for God. The hound dog needs the filling of the Holy Spirit to energize his soul and he needs to leave his old friends and sins behind that are draining him dry.

The fifth one is the pointer dogs. These dogs know how to point out every sin and problem in the church. These dogs have no concept of grace, forgiveness, and revival in the heart.

My question to you is...What Type of Dog are you? Are you one of the dog's that's a blessing or are you one of one's that people need to beware of? If you are one of the dogs that people should be aware of...don't you think it's time to let God change your heart???
